The drama from The Ultimatum: Queer Love's reunion was unmatched, but wait until you hear what happened after the show ended. Lexi Goldberg has revealed she and Rae Cheung-Sutton have split, and she actually has a new partner. Wait, WHAT?

Well, fans of the Netflix show have a lot to process right now, don't they? Despite being one of the 'will-they-won't-they' couples of the season, Lexi and Rae got engaged during the season finale of The Ultimatum, promising to spend their lives together.

A year later during the reunion, they confirmed they were still together, though the wedding bells hadn't been chiming yet. So far, so good. The streaming service then threw a spanner in the works, revealing with a text post at the end of the episode that the couple had sadly since split, and were no longer together.

So what happened? In an interview with Tudum, Lexi said Rae was "just not the right person for what I want", adding, "There's no bad blood, and I want nothing but the best for her. It's sad and bittersweet that she's like a distant cousin right now, but I hope there's a way to become friends at some point."

She then confirmed there was a new romance in her life" "I found somebody that gives me all of the love and happiness I felt with Mal, mixed with an intimacy that we’re exploring. That's truly what I always wanted when I knew my relationship with Rae was ending — somebody that made me feel the way I felt when I was with Mal."

Though Lexi kept their identity a secret in the interview, fans have been speculating that she might be dating photographer Kristin Zancanelli, after she posted an Instagram Story of them kissing with a "Spoiler Alert" sticker on it.

Yelp. Here's to hoping both Lexi and Rae are doing OK!
