Early Friday morning, Stow lifted the boil advisory affecting a large portion of the city. The advisory was put in place Wednesday after a contractor working on the intersection at Graham and Fishcreek roads impacted a water main, causing a break.

Don Brooker, Deputy Director of Public Service with the City of Stow, said that Wednesday's water main break resulted from a miscalculation by a contractor working on the intersection.

The worker was boring a hole for an electrical line, and the bore head of the machine impacted the water main, causing the break, Brooker said.
